Successful Bantay Bata 163 and iLearners Medical Mission!

Hi, my name is Drake. I work in a call center,  they say, it's a very stressful job, yet i never ran out of passion when it comes to helping others. So that's why last Saturday, Jan. 30th, after ending my shift at around 6AM in the morning, I attended the Bantay Bata 163 - Cebu Medical Mission and iLearners  Inc. Feeding Program held simultanaeously in Sitio Anonang, Liburon, Carcar City, Cebu, this event is also sponsored by some other groups like the Sagip Kapamilya, ABS-CBN Foundation, the Nadela Clan,  Sagip Kapamilya, RBCC and with the joint effort of the Brgy. officials of the said barangay, spearheaded by Captain Alberto Lawas. Even without sleep the whole day, the event itself, the smiles of the kids and the gladness of all the people who were given help made me energize the whole day.

Cathy Gabrodino of Maayong Buntag Kapamilya and Greg Limpin IV, a staff of Kapamilya Winner Ka! hosted the event together with Junrey Nadela as the guest speaker.

You'll see blissful smiles and faces especially of the kids and mothers who attended the event. 21 persons willingly donated blood. Thanks for the effort, and kudos to all: who contributed to the success of this event:

iLearners Inc. is a registered charitable movement. Young professionals grouped together and moved towards extending their helping hands to areas that are mostly not reached by big institutions. These courageous and idealistic founders are helping fellows for fun and without anything in return. It's more on fun and help. "i" is a small letter because it represents that each one of us should be humble on what we do and think about not just of ourselves but for others too. It represents unselfishness. It emphasizes on what "I should do to help". 

Bantay Bata 163 is a child welfare program of ABS-CBN Foundation that not only rescues and rehabilitates sick and abused children, but also provides shelter, therapy and quality home care for rescued children until they can be reunited with their families or referred to proper child-caring agencies. BB163 gives emphasis on the family through the following services: training and advocacy on child abuse prevention, rehabilitation of families in crisis, educational scholarships, livelihood, community outreach and medical and dental missions.
