PETA Asia-Pacific's 2011 Sexiest Vegetarian Celebrity Winners

Oh well, just noticed the list recently and I decided to showcase these notable vegetarian celebrities here in my blog. It's cool to meet like-minded individuals as well.. 

The Winners

Singer Faye Wong has been given the title Asia's Sexiest Vegetarian Woman for 2011, while Bollywood hunk Shahid Kapoor has won the title of Asia's Sexiest Vegetarian Man. Actress and radio host Charli Robinson and comedian Chris Lilley were declared the Australian winners.

Oftentimes called the "heavenly queen" or the "diva of Asia" by her followers, Faye Wong had recently been seen as covers of Vogue, Elle, and Marie Claire, and her successes in the music industry include the theme songs for the movies Eternal Moment and Confucius. Her concert tour began last October in Beijing, and she will be touring across Asia throughout 2011.

On the other hand, Kapoor have always supported the cause of being a vegetarian. "... it's nice to be felicitated for something so close to my heart," says Kapoor. "Being voted as sexy is a matter of perception, but being vegetarian is a lifestyle change and something that comes from a sense of responsibility."

Robinson, who is best known for her role on the children's program Hi-5, can be heard weeknights on Austereo's The Dirt. She is also the co-host of popular singing show It Takes Two with Paul O'Brien. Award-winning Lilley is best known for his television series Summer Heights High and We Can Be Heroes.

List of other popular contenders include Taiwanese actor Blue Lan; Super Girl Jane Zhang; actors Gao Yuanyuan and Barbie Hsu; songwriter Louis Cheung; Indian film heavyweights Kareena Kapoor and Vivek Oberoi; model-turned-Hollywood hottie Maggie Q; Mongolian singer Nominjin; model Imogen Bailey; musicians Ash Grunwald, Missy Higgins, and
John Butler; actors Deni Hines and Abbie Cornish; surfer Dave Rastovich; and Tame Impala frontman Kevin Parker.
