Strikeforce: Rafael Cavalcante vs. Dan Henderson MarchTitle Fight Is Now Official

Hey yah Mixed Martial Arts fans... Well after thinking for a while I decided to blog about recent MMA happenings especially this coming March. And this is the most anticipated fight of Feijao vs Henderson which will be broadcasted live on Showtime. The title fight between Light Heavyweight Champion Rafael "Feijao" Cavalcante and veteran Dan Henderson has been made official.  The match-up will likely serve as headliner for the promotion's Strikeforce and is tagged  as the "Light-Heavyweight Strikeforce Championship" and will be taking place on March 5 at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio.

The card is also expected to feature women's Welterweight Champion Marloes Coenen making her first title defense against Meisha Tate, as well as a Lightweight clash between Billy Evangelista and Jorge Masvidal.

After garnering a disappointing loss to Mike Kyle in his promotional debut, Cavalcante zoomed up with three straight wins.  And right after his first round knockout victory over Antwain Britt, "Feijao" was granted a title shot against Muhammed "King Mo" Lawal, who the Brazilian dispatched of via TKO early in the third round.  Cavalcante will look to continue building momentum as he faces his toughest test to date in the former Pride Fighting Champion.

Henderson, on the other hand, who suffered his own debut defeat at the hands of then Middleweight Champion Jake Shields, rebutted with an impressive outing at 205 pounds, knocking out fellow veteran Renato "Babalu" Sobral less than two minutes into the opening round.  Now committed to what he considers to be a more suitable weight class, Henderson will make his second attempt at obtaining Strikeforce gold.
